Well, as I understood this quote, it says: Whatever you are, no matter what the circumstances are, don't loose hope, stay motivated, work hard, smart and get whatever you want. That's what i found in this great quote by Abraham Lincoln.

In other words, I also understood it that way: Be a good dad / father, if you're a father. Be a good teacher, student, kid, brother, mother, sister. No matter who and what type of relation and work you're in, do it positively, and put your maximum efforts in it.
